How?

Come to one of our meetings and see what DERT is all about! We are always looking for students who are ready to learn, contribute, and be part of the team. Visit our Subteams page to discover the different areas of robotics and the kinds of skills we need.

We accept new members from April through November, and anyone who is an incoming freshman or older is eligible to join. During the offseason, from April to December, we meet every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Once built and the competition season begins in January, we shift into a much more intensive schedule, meeting six days a week through March. 

No experience is necessary to get started. Whether you are interested in CAD, Mechanical, Electrical & Programming, or Public Relations, we will teach you what you need to know. If you want to join, all you have to do is come to a meeting, and we will help you get signed up. 

Joining earlier in the offseason gives you more time to learn and build your skills before the competition season begins. Just like in sports, music, or any other competitive activity, the practice and effort you put in ahead of time help you make a bigger impact when it matters most.

When?

Build & Competition Season (January-March):

• Weeknights, 6pm-8:30pm

• Saturdays, 12pm-5pm

Off Season (April-December):

• Thursday, 6pm-8:30pm

• Other days arranged by subteams
